used to operate on a pure telesales and trade counter basis. The birth
of the web site has opened up many new markets and made the company accessible
from any location within the UK. Orders received on the internet are processed
and dispatched the next day.

Tool-NET Front End
Their web site now forms the basis of all their power tool sales. Sales
assistants taking calls will use the site to search for the exact product
the caller requires, then create an order. A pick list is generated for
the warehouse, the order is made up and dispatched, usually the same day!

Tool-NET back end
Tool-NET admin is a complete contact management system. Details of all
customers, suppliers and staff are held in the database. Quotes, Orders,
Notes and tasks can be raised on any contact and assigned to a staff member.
The system automatically monitors incoming orders and triggers emails
at certain periods informing a customer of related products that Tool-NET
can offer.
Future enhancements are planned that will link the Tool-NET database
to the in-house accounts system using XML so that data can be freely exchanged
between the two systems.
